Recycling electronics in Kennesaw Saturday

Nov 11, 2010

Kennesaw will hold an electronics recycling day Saturday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Adams Park near Cobb Parkway and Watts Drive.

The service is open to all at no cost. The materials turned in will go into a crusher, so hard drives and any data they contain will be destroyed. Recycling electronics keeps materials out of landfills, including computer parts that contain noxious materials.

Accepted items include computer equipment, small appliances, phones, cameras, VCRs, typewriters and fax machines.

Items not accepted include large appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines or vacuum cleaners. For a complete list, see www.completerecycling.com .
