Metro Atlantans can breathe a sigh of relief for at least the next few hours.
According to meteorologists with the National Weather Service, there is a 40 to 50 percent chance of rain for at least the next three hours.
"It is pretty light at this point," said meteorologist, Steve Nelson. "For the next few hours we are out of the woods."
According to Nelson, they are starting to see a few signs of isolated showers, but they do not expect them until around 3 or 6 a.m.
"We are in a really moist air mass," said Nelson. "It would not take much for another thunderstorm to become unstable. But that may not happen for a few more hours."
Whenever the rain returns, Nelson said it will not be at the magnitude of what was seen most of Monday.
