Caribbean cuisine will be a bit harder to find in north Fulton County.

Pollo Tropical — a Florida-based restaurant chain with a menu highlighted by spicy chicken, calypso beef and tostones — closed 30 of its restaurants on Monday, including three in the metro Atlanta area.

Glen Orr, a spokesperson for Pollo Tropical, did not say how many jobs would be affected by the closing of these three locations, but a release from Fiesta Restaurant Group said, "Where possible, employees impacted by restaurant closures will be offered positions at nearby restaurants."

Here’s where Pollo Tropical once existed near Atlanta:

  • Market Place Boulevard in Cumming
  • 5805 State Bridge Road in Johns Creek
  • 10900 Haynes Bridge Road in Alpharetta

Pollo Tropical also closed restaurants in Dallas, Austin and Nashville. There are still 13 Pollo Tropical restaurants in metro Atlanta.

In October 2016, Pollo Tropical closed a location in Marietta.
