A Florida man described by friends and family as a rapper and music producer was shot and killed by at least two masked men in Jacksonville on Tuesday night, sheriff’s deputies said.

Officials with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the victim was a man between 25 and 30 years old. Witnesses told police that the men walked up to the victim at Hilltop Village Apartments, shot him multiple times and then ran away.

Family and friends at the scene said the victim was a local music producer and rapper named Lil' Jug.

Police are searching social media for any possible information in this shooting. Officers are also speaking to witnesses about what they saw to try and gather more information about the suspects.

Including this shooting, there were three fatal shootings in Jacksonville on Tuesday night. A 14-year-old was shot and killed on the Westside, and a young man was killed at an apartment complex in the Biltmore area.
