GID Development President James Linsley talks about the High Street project at the Experience Center in Dunwoody. The idea for High Street proposed in Dunwoody has languished for more than 10 years, but construction is finally expected to start this year. The Boston-based developers recently got the required special land use and land disturbance permits from the city as the plans for High Street come into view a little more. They also got a tax break from the city's development authority. They hope for it to be like Avalon and the Battery - a retail, entertainment and office hub that would create a true "downtown" for the Perimeter Center area.. (Photo by Phil Skinner)
