The Peachtree City Fire Department and the Southern Crescent Technical College have renewed their student training partnership. Last week the City Council of Peachtree City approved an agreement that allows students in Southern Crescent’s Fire Science and Emergency Medical Technician programs to get clinical experience with the city’s personnel.

The previous agreement expired in September; the renewal goes through 2019. Peachtree City Fire Chief Joe O’Conor said the program is “a positive experience for both the students and our staff, potentially creating the opportunity to recruit additional trained and certified members for our team.”
