The Ice Rink at Sugar Hill is open for the season.
The downtown Sugar Hill attraction has returned for its fourth consecutive winter. It will be open until Feb. 11.
The rink brings about 15,000 people to Sugar Hill annually, and it is the largest outdoor “real ice” rink in the Southeast for the 2017-2018 season, according to a city release. The rink is on the Dawn P. Gober Community Plaza behind City Hall and adjacent to the Bowl Amphitheater.
“The skating rink is now a family tradition and we hope to see many of our neighbors and the surrounding community on the ice,” said Mayor Steve Edwards in the release.
Admission is $12 for an adult and $10 for a child (up to age 8) at the ice rink. The full schedule can be found on Have An Ice Day Rinks' website. The company is partnering with the city to maintain the rink also for the fourth consecutive year.
