One dead, one wounded in Cartersville shooting

One man was killed and another wounded in a Saturday night shooting outside a Cartersville apartment complex.

The shooting, which stemmed from an argument, happened about 9 p.m in the parking lot of the Amberwood Apartments on Tennessee Street, the Daily Tribune News reported.

Police arrested the suspected gunman, 29-year-old Michael Thomas Morris Jr., according to WAGA-TV. A witness told the station more than a half-dozen shots were fired.

The wounded man was flown to Grady Hospital, where he was in stable condition, the station reported.

Cartersville police on Sunday refused to release any further information.
