A North Carolina-based real estate firm has renovated an iconic downtown Atlanta office building.
The Dilweg Companies announced Tuesday the completion of the $5 million project of 101 Marietta Street, formerly known as Centennial Tower — the 36-story building with tinted glass and the recognizable chevron silhouette in the city's skyline.

Upgrades to the 650,000-square-foot tower include a conference center with training rooms, a restored fitness center and a 6th floor tenant lounge with televisions, a pool table and a kitchen, according to a press release.
The renovation of the lobby, designed by Perkins+Will, received a 2017 merit award from the American Institute of Architects Georgia Association in the renovation/restoration category.
The north and south lobbies, split by a core, are now "linked by a large video wall displaying a camera-feed from the other side, as if you were looking through the core and it had disappeared," according to the AIA website. Tenants and visitors will also notice booths, communal work areas and wood slats with polished metal on the walls.
The tower was built in 1975 and also renovated in 1999.
Dilweg Companies purchased the property, which is home to the Atlanta Hawks and Atlanta Dream along with media and tech companies, in 2015, according to AIA.
Jerry Banks, managing director at Dilweg, said 101 Marietta Street is a "destination for employers" and "poised for rapid growth in the years ahead as downtown Atlanta continues its resurgence."
Approximately 220,000 square feet of office space is currently available in the building. It's located in Atlanta's newly dedicated arts and entertainment district, close to three MARTA stations and near the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Leasing is overseen by CBRE.
Dilweg’s portfolio also includes properties in Decatur, Alpharetta and Johns Creek.
