A boil-water advisory for northern Forsyth County was lifted Sunday evening, according to the county government's Web site.

The advisory was issued Saturday afternoon and was lifted at 11:45 p.m. Sunday.

"Water quality tests have been completed and indicate the water is safe for consumption without boiling," the website said.

The area under the advisory is generally north of S.R. 369, east of Elmo and Westray roads, and including Holtzclaw Road, county leaders said Saturday.

A large supply line had to be shut down earlier Saturday for repairs, resulting in low water pressure in the area, the county said. No contaminants are believed to have been released into the water, but the county advised residents and businesses to boil water until tests were completed.
