Peachtree City will replace all of the seats at its Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater in time for next year’s performance season.

The City Council voted 4-0-1 on Dec. 6 to use $82,710 of facility bond funds install 1,900 new plastic seats. The work will be done by Pennsylvania-based Contour Seats, Inc., which manufactured the original amphitheater seats in 1992. The existing green chairs had become faded and some have cracked. To reduce the cost of the replacements, the same style seats will be used so the existing frames can still be used. T

he venue, located in the McIntosh Trail Recreation Complex, underwent renovations of its restrooms and other infrastructure earlier this year.
