The Duluth City Council recently approved a contract with Atlanta artist Katherine Burke for a mural along the southbound side of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard between Howell Ferry Road and North Berkeley Lake at the Atlantic Howell Station apartments entrance.

The mural will contain the word “Duluth” in bold letters surrounded by Duluth flora including crepe myrtles and wildflowers. The mural will be completed with a graffiti-proof sealer. The project is expected to take approximately two months, weather permitting.

Contracts will be completed pending approval by the Gwinnett County Department of Transportation. Funding for this project comes from Duluth’s Public Art Acquisition budget.
