Veteran prosecutor Shawn LaGrua has been appointed by Gov. Sonny Perdue to the superior court bench in the Atlanta Judicial Circuit. LaGrua most recently served as inspector general for the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office, a post she has held since 2007. She was DeKalb solicitor general from July 2004 to January 2007. LaGrua also was an assistant district attorney in DeKalb and Fulton Counties. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia and Georgia State University School of Law.

Perdue on Tuesday announced two other superior court appointments, Stephen Kelley in the Brunswick Judicial Circuit and W. Kendall Wynne Jr. in the Alcovy Judicial Circuit.
