A new ice cream shop is open on the Lawrenceville Square with scoops to please kids and adults.

Sweet Joy Ice Cream Bar opened Dec. 14, scooping 40 flavors of ice cream. Leaning into the chilly holiday season, the shop has seasonal flavors including eggnog and peppermint.

Sweet Joy also has a selection of alcohol infused ice cream. Its boozy holiday creations include spiked peppermint and bourbon.

Guests can choose any flavor to turn into a milkshake or go with a classic cup or cone. The shop is still in its soft opening phase, meaning it is still rolling out some of its features.

Sweet Joy Ice Cream Bar is located at 178 E. Crogan St. in Lawrenceville. You can get an ice cream fix from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days of the week.
