A missing mentally challenged girl was found unharmed Friday at an Austell Wal-Mart.

Markea Barry, 14, had walked away from the back porch of her Mableton home around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Officer Joseph Hernandez with Cobb County police said. Markea is mentally challenged and functions at a third-grader's level, Hernandez said.

She was found at 9 a.m. Friday and quickly returned to her family, Cobb County police said.

Markea is black with a light complexion, 4-foot-11 inches tall and weighs between 70 to 80 pounds, police said. She has two braided ponytails and was last seen wearing a light shirt and light green pants with a fruit pattern.

Anyone with information about Markea's whereabouts is asked to call Cobb police at 770-499-3911.
