Residents that couldn’t make the trek to New Orleans to join in on Mardi Gras festivities will still have an opportunity to celebrate in Atlanta.

Colony Square in Midtown is transforming the corner of 14th and Peachtree streets into Atlanta’s version of Bourbon Street, dubbed “Mardi Gras on the Square,” in honor of Fat Tuesday.

Midtown employees, visitors and residents will be treated to Mardi Gras-inspired festivities, including live music by local New Orleans jazz band Atlanta Crawdaddy’s, from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday.

There will also be Louisiana-inspired treats from The Popcorn Wagon, Lisa’s Crêperie and Sukoshi, and NOLA-themed beverages such as the cult-favorite Hurricane.

Guests will also receive a complimentary drink ticket if they register for emails from Colony Square or follow the mixed-use property on Instagram.

Guests are also encouraged to RSVP to the free event on the Facebook page.
