While several city facilities have reopened to the public, all McDonough events including those sponsored by the Main Street department remain cancelled until further notice in accordance with CDC recommendations, according to a statement released May 28.

The next meeting for the City Council, which did not meet at all in May, will be June 15. Members of the public who wish to attend in person will be expected to comply with social distancing protocol, as well as other requirements implemented for the safety and well-being of those in attendance. The C.O. Polk Museum and all city parks and restrooms will remain closed until further notice, including Alexander Park East, Alexander Park West, Avalon Park, HOPE Park, Richard Craig Park, and Rufus Stewart Park.
