The city of McDonough has closed most of its offices out of precaution over the coronavirus.

The Henry County city has closed all its buildings through Friday, including City Hall, Muncipal Court, McDonough Police Department, fire stations and Main Street Welcome Center.

City personnel, including public safety leaders, will come to work as normal, the city said. In emergencies, people are still advised to dial 911.

McDonough joins the cities of Stockbridge and Peachtree City as well as Clayton, Fayette and Henry counties that have limited or closed municipal facilities in the wake of the spread of the virus.
