The Marietta City Council has approved a residential development that will replace the Wynhaven apartment complex on 18.59 acres on Powder Springs Street. The complex, that closed four years ago, was condemned for code violations in 2007. Black Orchid Equity paid $1.9 million for the property, and plans to build 100 town homes and 62 single family homes. There are future plans for 50 condos at the front of the property. The property is in an urban redevelopment corridor in the city.
