Marietta gas leak forces day care evacuation
A daycare center and several other buildings were evacuated following a gas leak in Marietta. Marietta and Cobb County fire officials evacuated several buildings, including a day care center, On Tuesday morning, a natural gas line was ruptured on Sandy Plains Road, just north of Canton Road.

Marietta officials expect Sandy Plains to be closed until morning between the Canton Highway Connector and Addison Road. Cobb County police officers Joey Turner and Carl Ely direct traffic at the scene.
