Marietta cops are looking into two failed liquor store break-ins that happened 20 minutes apart early Thursday.

Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the alleged criminals. Cops said the men were both recorded getting in and out of the same van during each crime.

Officers were called to Bev Maxx, 350 S. Fairground St., at 5:38 a.m. by an alarm. The cops found no sign of forced entry.

At 5:58 a.m., an alarm brought them to Eastside Bottle Shop, 1392 Roswell Road. There they did find indications that someone was trying to get in.

Neither attempt was successful.

Video footage from both stores showed each man getting in and out of a white Chevrolet van from the late 1970s or early 80s before the alleged crimes.

Anyone with information can call Marietta police investigators at 770-794-5335 or do so anonymously at 770-794-6990.
