An armed man robbed a Red Roof Inn in Marietta early Monday morning, according to Cobb County police.
Police said the man entered the hotel at 2200 Corporate Plaza and forced an employee to open a safe at the business. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled the area on foot in an unknown direction. according to police.

Police described the man as black, about 5’6” tall, and in his late 20’s to early 30’s.  He was wearing dark clothing with a bandanna covering his face.
