Going to the mall can be stressful this time of year, with a lot of shoppers prepping for the upcoming holiday season. However, if you’re still looking to pick up some gifts in a brick and mortar shop, there may be another option.
Atlanta-based Mailchimp announced this week that it is launching a “1980s mall-themed” pop-up shop at Ponce City Market — a “small mall,” if you will.
Just in time for the holidays, the pop up is located inside Citizen Supply on the second floor of Ponce City Market. It features products from companies that use Mailchimp.
That includes brands like Arbor Teas, Areaware, Baron Fig, and SHHHOWERCAP, according to the company. You can pick up everything from tea and umbrellas to turntables and "premium shoelaces" for people on your list this year.
There are also clothes, backpacks and pennants for purchase.
“Mailchimp was once a small business, too and the Small Mall is a great opportunity for us to help the brands that we love grow,” Michael Mitchell, of Mailchimp, said in a release.
Mailchimp, which was founded in 2001, is based in Ponce City Market.
"Mailchimp's Small Mall is an innovative way to help smaller merchants gain exposure and showcase their brands," said Michael Phillips, president of Jamestown — the real estate company that manages Ponce City Market.
"Incubating and accelerating businesses is part of our DNA and we are excited to see Mailchimp champion this initiative at Ponce City Market.”
If you go: The Small Mall will be open at Ponce City Market until Jan. 15, 2020.
