Cobb County's Mableton Elementary School has been awarded the 2011 Panasonic National School Change Award. Only six schools across the county earned this honor, which recognizes schools that have significantly changed beliefs, instructional practices and student achievement. Mableton is only one of three Georgia schools to ever receive the award, according to school officials.
