The 2009 murder of a Coweta County woman will be profiled in an upcoming episode of 48 Hours Mystery which is scheduled to air at 10 p.m. Saturday on CBS.

“Every Picture Tells a Story" delves into the Feb. 15, 2009 slaying of Cathy Mendenhall McNaughton, a 54-year-old former Delta Airlines employee who was stabbed to death in her home.

The show will include an interview with her husband, Alec McNaughton, 60, who has never spoken publicly about the case.

McNaughton was convicted of murdering his wife after prosecutors presented evidence from a secret file found in Cathy McNaughton's closet at trial. The contents of the file showed that she documented bruises on her body by having someone take photographs of her, and kept notes about her husband's financial dealings.

Three of McNaughton's ex-wives also testified at trial that they had been abused and threatened by him in the past.
