The Lawrenceville City Council agreed to approve two gas utility items needed for ongoing city improvements. The Highway 124 gas pressure improvement project will receive $74,500 to run 60 feet of steel pipe for a bypass. This will improve the gas pressure on Highway 124 and is needed to install the new regulator station.

The project will go to low bidder Harrison & Harrison Inc. and is funded by the Bond Fund.

In a separate project, valves are needed for the upcoming Alcovy Delivery Point project. Construction of this delivery point has not begun but these valves require a long lead-time. The city council approved the $25,367 purchase from low bidder Consolidated Pipe from the Bond Fund.
