If you can’t beat the summer heat, at least you can enjoy it. That’s the theory behind Johns Creek’s free 2019 summer concert series lineup.

The city in north Fulton County has announced that its series at Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater at Newtown Park, 3150 Old Alabama Road, begins May 3 with Chicago Rewired, a Chicago cover band.

The doors open at 6 p.m. and the concerts begin at 7 p.m.

Food trucks will be around, and beer and wine will be available for purchase.
