For the second time in a row, a Georgian has won the “Jeopardy!” College Championship.

Dhruv Gaur, a Brown University freshman from Gainesville who scored a perfect 1600 on the SAT, won the game that aired April 20. The prize was $100,000 and a spot in the Tournament of Champions.

Lilly Chin, a Westminster grad from Decatur, won the college championship in 2017. She later finished in third place during a Tournament of Champions semifinal.

Gaur said the “vast majority” of his winnings will be saved for graduate school or another opportunity, according to a press release.

“I really loved spending time with the other contestants, it was probably the best part of this entire experience,” the public health and economics student said.

One of those contestants was Rishab Jain, a Georgia Institute of Technology freshman (and Taco Bell fan). Jain won an early round, but was defeated by Gaur in the semifinals.

William Scott, a freshman at Tufts University, finished the competition in second place and took home $50,000. Hannah Sage, a sophomore at the University of Central Florida, came in third and won $25,000.
