Folks near Sandy Springs and Dunwoody will have a new spot to get burgers in 2019.

Burgerim, an Israeli-based burger chain, will open a location at Perimeter Village at Ashford Dunwoody Road at Meadow Lane in the first quarter of 2019.

Weingarten Realty, which operates Perimeter Village, announced the addition to the shopping center in a press release last week.

Burgerim, which translates to “many burgers” in Hebrew, was founded by Donna Tuchner and opened its first location in Tel Aviv. Franchising began for the restaurant in 2011 and it now has 160 locations across the globe.

According to its website, it plans to open six locations in Georgia, including the one at Perimeter Village. The other planned locations are in Alpharetta, Athens, Bonaire, Stockbridge and on Peachtree Street in midtown Atlanta.

The chain sells — not sliders — but mini-burgers, weighing in at about 2.8 ounces. There are 11 patties to choose from, and diners can also customize their bun, toppings and condiments. The menu also features chicken wings, chicken strips, salads, fries, onion rings and desserts.

Its location at Perimeter Village will cover 2,973 square feet.
