UPDATE: Lisa Tefteller, who is named in the lawsuit, emailed comment Thursday afternoon:
“It is unfortunate that Ms. Keit, a repeat customer familiar with cryotherapy, has decided to pursue this litigation against Diamond Mist. Ms. Keit’s alleged injuries, to the extent they exist, were in no way caused by Diamond Mist or its employees. Diamond Mist looks forward to clearing its name and continuing to provide cryotherapy services to the Atlanta community for years to come.”
ORIGINAL STORY: A woman is suing a Sandy Springs cryotherapy business after she fell inside the chamber.
Vonetta Keit alleges that at least one employee at the Diamond Mist Whole Body Cryotherapy and Med Spa negligently operated the chamber, causing her to fall and sustain "severe personal injury to her head and body," according to the lawsuit filed by attorney Mark Schaeffer.
Keit claims that the defendants — which include the business, “employee, owner and/or principal” Lisa Tefteller and several unnamed employees — failed to warn and disclose the risks of cryotherapy to her.

Cryotherapy is a non-invasive cold therapy sports medicine treatment intended for reducing muscle and joint injuries and increasing athletic performance. Diamond Mist is located at 5801 Roswell Rd NE.
According to the lawsuit, Keit has already incurred $8,318 in medical bills, and is still being treated. She seeks an amount to be proven at trial.
A man who answered the phone at Glasser & Schaeffer said Schaeffer was out of town and therefore unavailable for comment.
Attempts to reach someone at Diamond Mist were not immediately successful.
