Events at the Infinite Energy Center will be canceled or postponed through at least March 30 due to the coronavirus.

“The health and safety of our clients, guests, staff, and community are our top priority,” said Marcia Powell, marketing coordinator for the Infinite Energy Center. “We have made the decision to close our venue for the next 2 weeks. We are following all updates and recommendations and will continue to make decisions with the best interests of all in mind.”

Some events, including the 2020 SEC Women’s Gymnastics Championships and Georgia Swarm games, were already canceled before the event center decided to close. Events affected by the closure include a North Atlanta Dance Theatre performance of Sleeping Beauty, the Southern Ballet Theatre’s performance of Aladdin and His Magic Lamp and a Mary Kay conference.

The refund process varies by event, so ticketholders should check the Infinite Energy Center website for details, Powell said.

The Infinite Energy Center will evaluate events after March 30 in the future. An April 2 concert by Ozuna is still listed as active on the arena website.

Gwinnett 03-13-20 More than 800 people were lined up outside a Costco near the Mall of Georgia in the Buford area before it opened. Within seven minutes, six pallets of toilet paper – all the warehouse store had in stock – were gone. It also quickly ran out of paper towels, disinfecting wipes and jugs of Lysol disinfectant. Rice was in short supply. Customers were limited to two cases of water per Costco membership. Within an hour there were hundreds of people standing in checkout lines that snaked to the back of the cavernous store. Then workers pulled down the entrance door, concerned they might begin to have too many people in the building. They let in people in groups of 100, as enough shoppers left.
