It’s the most wonderful time of the year again, DeKalb County.

And before you break out those holiday lights, decorative ornaments and eggnog, don’t forget to get out a little.

If you haven’t already made your holiday plans, here is a list of things you could do this holiday season:

ATLANTA

Christmas at Callanwolde
The holiday attraction will include elaborate displays and an artists market at the Callanwold Fine Arts Center. Tickets costs $20 for the event which runs through Dec. 9.

Winter Wonderland at Fernbank
Walk through two floors of festive trees at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History. The exhibit runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Jan. 6, every day except Sunday. Tickets can be purchased here.

AVONDALE ESTATES

Christmas in Avondale Estates Holiday Market and Tour of Homes
Tour six homes decorated for Christmas
for the 26th annual event at the Avondale Community Club. The holiday market will open from noon to 6 p.m. and the home tour will be from 3 to 8 p.m.  Dec. 9. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the tour. The market is free.  

BROOKHAVEN

Clydesdales In Brookhaven
The Budweiser Clydesdales are headed to DeKalb. The draft horses will be at There, a bar and eatery, from 3 to 6 p.m. on Dec. 15. You can meet the famous animals and enjoy a Budweiser for $1.

CHAMBLEE

Breakfast with Santa
Spend time with Santa while enjoying breakfast and arts and crafts at the Chamblee Civic Center starting 8 a.m. on Dec. 8. Parents can register here. The event is $8 for children and $5 for adults.

CLARKSTON

Holiday Market & Annual Tree Lighting Celebration 
Enjoy the lighting, fireworks, music and a visit with Santa. The morning holiday craft session will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 8. Evening festivities are from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Clarkston Women's Club.

DECATUR

Tree Lighting
Join the city as it hosts its lighting at 7 p.m. Dec. 6 in the Decatur Square.

Bonfire on the Square
Roast marshmallows at this free event held at the Decatur Square at 7 p.m. Dec. 13. All attendees must register here.

DORAVILLE

Christmas Tree Lighting 
Take pictures with Santa, see the lighting of the Christmas Tree and snack on s'mores at this free event held at Doraville City Hall, 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30.

Doraville's Polar Express
Make holiday crafts, visit Santa's workshop and ride trains at the Doraville Library from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 1. Attendess will also take pictures with Santa and will be treated to a showing of "The Polar Express."

STONECREST/LITHONIA

Holiday Snowflake Star
Kids hoping to add an ornament to their tree can make a snowflake at the Stonecrest Library at noon on Dec. 15. Parents looking to take their children, ages 5 to 12, can register here.

Pet Night with Santa 
Pull out your pets' best sweater for a photo op with Santa. Pictures will be taken at The Mall at Stonecrest from 5 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 30, Dec. 7 and Dec. 14.

STONE MOUNTAIN

Stone Mountain Christmas
Celebrate the holiday season with a nightly Christmas parade, lights, Santa and live performances. Festivities run through Jan. 6. Times and ticket prices vary.

Snow Mountain
The park transforms into a winter wonderland complex with mountains of snow used to make snow angels and build snowmen. Select dates though Feb. 24. Tickets for adults and children can be purchased here.
