It’s almost the most wonderful time of the year again. And with that comes ice skating, snow shows and holiday fun with loved ones.

Those who’ve been anticipating holiday fun can look forward to tree lightings and festive treats at these events in Midtown and Buckhead:

Skate the Station – Lace up those skating shoes. Atlantic Station's 10,000-square-foot skating rink returns Nov. 15 and will be open daily until Jan. 20. General admission is $15, senior and military members get in for $12. Season passes are available for $59.

Atlantic Station's Annual Tree Lighting – As 250,000 lights flicker on the Christmas tree, marking the start of the holiday season, guests will be treated to live music and a Santa sighting. Festivities will be held Nov. 23 from 1 to 9 p.m. Attendees will also be treated to a snow show and Santa's Parade will begin at 7 p.m. Santa's Cottage will be open from noon to 5 p.m.

Snow Shows – Beginning Nov. 23, guests at Atlantic Station can watch free snow shows along Market and Tower streets as holiday music plays. The shows will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. They will also be held Fridays and Saturdays starting at 6 p.m. and will continue at the top of each hour.

Buckhead Bake Off – The Shops of Buckhead is hosting a holiday baking competition featuring delectable treats from Atlanta bakeries and restaurants. From noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 30, attendees will judge the treats and Santa will crown the winner. There will also be lawn games for families to enjoy.

Buckhead Holiday Block parties – On Dec. 7 and 14, The Shops of Buckhead will throw block parties from noon to 4 p.m. Guests will decorate a holiday cactus, enjoy live entertainment and can bring their pet to take a portrait.

Jolly Jamboree - Atlantic Station Guests can enjoy free milk and cookies in their pajamas on Dec. 14 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the The Pop-Up Spot. 

Lighting of the Menorah – Atlantic Station is hosting its lighting of the Menorah at the corner of 18th Street and District Avenue from Dec. 22 to Dec. 30.

Pet Pictures – Pet parents can take their furry friend to take a picture Atlantic station on Dec. 2, 9 and 16 from 7 to 9 p.m.
