The Henry County Board of Education recently approved the school calendar for the 2018-2019 school year at its Dec. 12 meeting. Classes will begin July 30, 2018 and end May 24, 2019, which is the Friday before Memorial Day.
A number of parents during the 30-day public input period prior to the vote expressed a desire to have the school year end before Memorial Day.
