Henry County has approved an intergovernmental agreement with McDonough to share costs on the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Hwy. 20/81 and McDonough Parkway.

The Georgia Department of Transportation plans to install a temporary signal there as part of its one-way pair project and it will remain until completion of the state’s project to widen Hwy. 20/81. The state DOT has agreed to allow the signal to remain upon payment of the cost to install it, and McDonough has agreed to contribute $50,000 toward those costs.

The Henry County Board of Commissioners approved the agreement at its Aug. 21 regular meeting.
