Gwinnett Animal Shelter is full and needs the public's help to make more room for pets in need.
The shelter has been at or near capacity for much of the past two weeks. In less than two weeks in June, the shelter took in more than 450 animals, a Facebook post said.
Summer months can be especially difficult for shelters because cats often deliver litters in the spring and summer, putting a higher burden on municipal groups including Gwinnett Animal Shelter.
