Gwinnett County police are searching for a man accused of rape and other “serious sexual crimes.”

Warrants have been issued for Leo Escudero-Olivares on charges of rape, aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery.

The charges are related to an incident involving a woman who told police Escudero-Olivares physically and sexually assaulted her in a Lawrenceville home. The woman and Escudero-Olivares knew each other before the incident, she told police. The assault allegedly occurred between 9 p.m. on April 1 and 6 p.m. on April 2.

Anyone with information on Escudero-Olivares or his whereabouts is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
