After allegedly stealing a minivan, an unidentified man stopped at a grocery store to buy a bouquet of flowers — and nearly $500 in gift cards using someone else’s credit card.

The victim had parked his minivan outside a gym in Duluth on the afternoon of March 4. The suspect broke into the victim’s gym locker while the victim worked out, stealing credit cards and the keys to the van, Gwinnett County police said.

The suspect drove off in the car and headed to a nearby Kroger, according to the report. There, he spent $495 on the bouquet of yellow flowers and multiple gift cards.

The minivan is a 2016 Kia Sedona with the license plate RZZ1150.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
