A 20-year-old is dead after being hit by a car in Duluth Saturday night.

Deiago Scott, 20, was walking across Duluth Highway around 7 p.m. Saturday when he was struck by a sedan. Scott was walking in a crosswalk and the approaching car had a green light, police said.

Scott was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died of his injuries. Police do not believe the driver of the car was speeding or under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

Officers still need to investigate in order to determine the full details of the crash, the department said.
