The Gwinnett County Public Schools Board of Education will hold three public hearings on a proposed 21.75 millage rate. The first hearing will be at 7 p.m. July 9, followed by 11:45 a.m. and 7 p.m. July 16 in the Board Room at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center, 437 Old Peachtree Rd. N.W. in Suwanee.

The proposed millage rate is slightly lower than last year’s rate of 21.85, but is expected to generate additional revenue for the school district as a result of higher property values.

A sign-up sheet will be available for residents wishing to comment at the public hearings. There is no need to sign up in advance of the meeting date.
