Henry Saint Clair Fredericks, also known as Taj Mahal, is the 76-year-old front man for the band. He’s been working as an artist since the 1960s and has collaborated with the likes of the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and John Mayer.

Taj Mahal has taken home the Grammy Award for Best Comtemporary Blues Album three times, in 1997, 2000 and most recently in 2018 for “TajMo.”

The City Springs website describes Taj Mahal’s music as blues with an “infusion of exotic sounds from the Caribbean, Africa and South Pacific.” He is a songwriter and guitarist, who can also play the keys and banjo.

Also in the trio is drummer Kester Smith and bassist Bill Rich.
