Gov. Nathan Deal announced on Tuesday ambitious plans for investing $10 billion over a decade in massive transportation projects that could reshape metro Atlanta.

The plan includes a multibillion-dollar expansion of I-285 and Ga. 400.

“We promised the people of the state of Georgia that we would show them results, and that is what we are doing here today," Gov. Deal said.

Plans that will affect DeKalb County include:

  • I-285 East wall express lanes from I-85 to I-20
  • I-285/I-20 East interchange
