The East Cobb Quilters Guild will host its 17th annual Georgia Celebrates Quilts Show at the Cobb County Civic Center.

The show, set for June 6-8, is the largest juried quilt show in Georgia and includes a gallery of 344 quilts from 63 cities from around the state.

Visitors perusing the aisles will be treated to a display of 50 quilt blocks that were created by elementary, middle and high school metro Atlanta students who are members of the guild’s Block Party initiative.

Quilts in the show are vying for $4,000 in cash prizes. There will also be a raffle of Celebration, a quilt created by 69 members of the East Cobb Quilters Guild. Tickets for the raffle are $1 each or 6 for $5. The winner will have the luxury of taking the quilt home.

Along with displaying these creative pieces of fabric, attendees will also have a chance to check out vendors selling quilt-related products, fabric postcards and a raffle for gift baskets and sewing studio.

Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, June 6 to Saturday, June 8. Tickets are $10 at the door. The Cobb County Civic Center is located at 548 South Marietta Parkway in Marietta. For more information, visit the East Cobb Quilters Guild's website.
