The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced the schedule of operations through the Thanksgiving holiday for the Northwest Corridor Express Lanes, 30 miles of reversible toll lanes along I-75 and I-575 in Cobb and Cherokee counties.

The lanes ordinarily are open southbound on weekday mornings and change direction around midday to northbound on weekday afternoons. The week of Thanksgiving, they will follow their normal north/south schedule through Wednesday, Nov. 21, GDOT says.

On Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22, they’ll be open southbound. At 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, the lanes will transition to northbound. At 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, they’ll go back to being southbound; and at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, they’ll reverse to northbound.

At 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, they’ll change to southbound and stay that way through Monday morning, Nov. 26, when they’ll resume normal operations.

The Northwest Corridor toll lanes opened in September as a traffic congestion reliever for I-75 and I-575 north of I-285. Information: https://bit.ly/2BdtcNQ
