Fulton County school officials are accepting applications from parents wanting to apply for a 2018-19 hardship transfer or renew a current hardship status prior to a Feb. 28 deadline.

The deadline applies to parents and students seeking a transfer because of medical reasons, curriculum differences, child care issues or for employees’ children. The district says parents can use the website fultonschools.org to submit information/applications. Hard copies aren’t required unless it’s a medical transfer requiring documentation and a signature from a health care provider.

The district said this is separate from open enrollment, an arrangement under which students can apply to transfer to a school with available space. Open enrollment schools will be announced in May.
