On Monday, Feb. 15, Atlanta-based Cinnabon Inc. will offer guests a free cup of coffee during business hours to celebrate the company's cameo in the season two premiere of the AMC hit drama, "Better Call Saul."
In Monday's episode, Saul — played by Bob Odenkirk — will be back as Gene, his undercover personality, working as a Cinnabon bakery manager in Omaha, Neb.
Cinnabon Inc. — part of Atlanta-based FOCUS Brands Inc. — is also holding a sweepstakes. Just snap a selfie with the life-size Saul standees in any Cinnabon bakery and post on social media with the hashtag #SaulSelfie.
Loyrn Franco, the company's director of public relations and communications, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that one winner will be chosen to not only win free Cinnabon for a year, but he or she will also enjoy a VIP experience on the set of "Better Call Saul," which is filmed in Albuquerque, N.M.
"We're just thrilled to partner with AMC and be a part of this pop culture phenomenon," said Jill Thomas, vice president of marketing for Cinnabon Inc. "Gene might have a questionable past, but he's a great manager."
Thomas also said there's a reason why the restaurants will be giving away free coffee, specifically.
"It's sort of tied to the storyline," Thomas said. "But it's not our story to tell."
Guess you'll just have to watch and find out.
