Free Cobb household hazardous waste event on June 23

Keep Cobb Beautiful staff is hosting a free recycling event this month for Cobb County residents to dispose of hazardous household waste.

Early arrival is recommended for the event from 9 a.m. to noon June 23 at Jim Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Road NE, Marietta.

No commercial vehicles will be allowed.

Cobb residents are limited to 10 gallons of paint per vehicle.

Items accepted include (in alphabetical order) adhesives, aerosols, batteries, cleaners, flammables, fluorescent light bulbs, hobby and artists’ supplies, lawn care products, mercury, paint and paint-related products, photo chemicals and swimming pool chemicals.

Not accepted will be agricultural waste, ammunition, biohazardous/biomedical waste, pharmaceuticals and radioactive materials.
