Four defendants have been convicted in the death of a 23-year-old man who was gunned down in DeKalb County at a “date” setup through the Plenty Of Fish app.
Jordan Collins, who lived in Gwinnett County, was shot, along with his brother, Chad Collins, 26, on Sept. 1, 2016 at their sister’s home outside Lithonia. They had invited two women over, thinking it was a double date, but the brothers didn’t realize two men were waiting to rob them outside of the home, the district attorney’s office said.

Jordan Collins was shot while trying to defend himself and died; Chad Collins took several bullets while trying to help his brother but survived.
Before the trial, which concluded Wednesday, Clarissa McGhee, 22, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. The jury convicted 28-year-old Demarco “Blazalino” Butler, 26-year-old Antonio “Killa” Avery and 22-year-old Nashea Poole on charges including murder.
The trio are members of the 9 Trey Bloods street gang, the district attorney’s office said.
The defendants will be sentenced at a later date.
