The City of Atlanta will open a warming center ahead of an arctic cold front that will bring freezing temperatures over the next two days.

The warming center will open 6 p.m. Tuesday and will remain open through 9 a.m. Thursday, the city announced. The center is located at Old Adamsville Recreation Center at 3404 Delmar Lane in northwest Atlanta.

Transportation to the warming center will be provided starting 5 p.m. at Gateway on 275 Pryor Street in southwest Atlanta. The warming center is open to the public.

Following Tuesday's early morning rain, temperatures plunged to the 30s and are expected to stay there through the afternoon, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. However, with gusty winds, the temps feel like they're in the 20s.

This evening, temperatures are expected to reach a low of 37, according to Channel 2 Action News. Wednesday’s low is expected to be 25 degrees.
