Fayette County schools need more bus drivers

Fayette County Public Schools is renewing its call for more bus drivers. The system provides training, and no previous experience is required, but applicants must pass a driving history and background check. Drivers work 180 days from August through May but get year-round pay.

New drivers start out as substitutes earning $64 per day, and full-time drivers are eligible for health, dental, life and short- and long-term insurance benefits in addition to sick leave.
